This famous sculpture by Takayuki Takeya has gone through three phases. The first phase was a kit by Kotobukiya that featured Elric perched atop the skull of some strange creature. The second release of the kit lost the skull and replaced it with a plaque. The plaque version now comes as a really sloppy prepaint for the lazy people out there. I got the second version. It is designed to be mounted on a wall or propped up like a picture frame. It came with a piece of wood and two wood screws for the later option. This kit presents a lot of details in which to get lost in. I finally had to decide that it was time to quit detailing him! I wanted his face to look like pale flesh and think I may have overdone it a bit. The word on the base says 'Stormbringer' which is the name of his parasitic sword. This particular buildup was featured in a past issue of Modelers Resource magazine.
